Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley has told the SEN’s run home that the deal involving Chris Mayne was a huge mix up.
“I’ll admit there was a bit of a mix up there. We don’t watch a lot of Fremantle games and I’m pretty sure I thought Mayney was actually David Mundy.”
Buckley went on to say that he was embarrassed by the deal, but the club were looking at doing a trade with the Nunawading Lions which would see Mayne traded to the Eastern Football league side for an old chip cooker and a bar stool with a missing leg.
